Top Rated Best Nancy Drew Books

I loved them 55 years ago when I read them I’m hoping to get my grandkids to read them. I’m offering 10.00 to whoever reads each book and writes me a book report!

I grew up with Nancy Drew Books from about 9 to 15 years old, so I bought these were for my grand daughters to have the same experiences I had reading them. Each book is a complete story in itself though some of the same characters are in all the books. There is nothing bad in the books in language or actions. They are good books for girls that like mystery without anything scary. Adults would enjoy then too for easy reading,

My granddaughter is 10 and she reads a chapter or two out loud to me every morning in the spare time we have before she gets on the school bus. Electronic readers may be great for adults or older children, but my grandchildren have always loved to get books as gifts and we sit and read them together. Good times.

Bought this book for my 7 yr old granddaughter. I gave it to her when she came over for a visit. By the time she left, she had read the whole book.... Cover to cover! She didn't even want to put it down to eat dinner. It is perfect for her..just long enough (about 80 pages) and soft and compact and easy to hold & travel with. When she left I went back online to Amazon and ordered books 2 - 4 for her! I like that they are numbered so it's easy to get more without getting duplicates. I will be ordering the complete set..a few at a time. They are very reasonably priced. She is keeping the books in a cute container to save for her younger cousin. Knowing her, she will probably re-read the whole collection many times before passing them down to her new cousin. Definately recommend it to anyone with a little girl in their life who loves to read to just needs a reason to learn to love to read!

My daughter loved this book. They are a bit short but very enjoyable. I would recommend for 9-11 yo girls.

My third grade granddaughter really enjoys reading these. Before you learn the solutions they give you a chance to put in who you think the guilty person is.

Great addition to our home library and our 7th grader is reading through them. Great when the libraries are closed we really needed more at home, real books, not tablet reading, to get us through. Daughter is blazing through these! Came in new condition and will be read and saved for other generations. Very pleased!

These are nice, new reprints of all the Nancy Drew books of our childhood. Often with new cover paintings, the books frequently retain their original 1930's, 1940's and 1950's illustrations!
Regardless of your political party, it's easy to see why Hillary Clinton often cited Nancy Drew as a childhood hero- she is agressive, unrelenting, smart, and proceeds in logical manners. Very good books to develop deductive skills in young readers, as well as simply instilling a love of reading!

I bought these as a gift for my 11-year old granddaughter. She had read the first volumes through the school library, as discount book purchases or from other gifts and wanted to keep going. I had loved these almost 70 years ago so decided to gift her this set. I think she devoured most of then over vacation! Some classics are worth it!

Instant hit with the 7 year old grand daughter. It appears these books will add vocabulary and expand imagination without adding snark and sarcasm. And to hear her say "I like Nancy Drew" is just sweetly heartwarming. The torch is passed.

A great series for a young reader, who is just starting to learn about mystery stories. My granddaughter, who is just learning to read chapter books, was eager to read these and they kept her attention. For those of you who read the original Nancy Drews, these have been downsized to a younger age group and are well done.

My grand daughter wanted these for her birthday. She just can't understand the Nance Drew books from my era as the wording is just so outdated for her. Maybe after getting interested in these Nancy Drew "capers" she will want to try to old ones with "sedans" and "coupes".

Sent as a gift to Niece who was so thrilled to receive them. These are her first ND books and I chose the updated version thinking having relevant settings would inspire interest in the stories and generate her continued reading journey

These were a Christmas present for my 9 year old granddaughter. She loves the Nancy Drew Diaries and this will keep her busy reading for awhile.

Our granddaughter loves these. The collection is neatly packed. Also, there are so many others that can be added to this collection.

My 11 year old Granddaughter loves Nancy Drew now that I’ve introduced to her. She loves reading and when I typed in “Best books for pre-teens” there were many I felt were inappropriate for even young teens. My daughter is very selective in what they watch on television and what they read in this world of “Growing up way too fast”, so I took a chance on a vintage read. Total success

I’m sure they’re not comparable to the originals but these books are great. My daughter cannot wait to dig into them. She was inspired to read these stories after learning about Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg loving Nancy Drew as young girls. She too loves the idea of becoming an officer and a detective one day.

We did receive books 1-4 without hassle. It was completely wrapped in plastic. The photos posted were after it was removed. Binding and pages are in tact too.

I missed out on these as a child so it was even more fun to discover these books as a senior citizen! This attractive new edition is really a pleasure to read. Don't hesitate to treat yourself to Nancy Drew.
