What Is The Best Crystal Books

I'm new into crystal/gemstone healing and protective powers. I'm energetically sensitive and very much an empath. I purchased two bracelets that have several different stones, to include Shungtite, Black Tourmaline, and Tiger's Eye. This book has helped me also learn about the loose stones that I've purchased at a local store that sells everything crystals and gemstones. When I went into the store for the second time in a week, I asked the woman who owns the place if she could point me in the direction of a stone that would help me harness compassion and unconditional love; lo-and-behold she flipped right to Prehnite. After reading the pages on it, I felt a strong sense of calm, as this was the EXACT stone I needed in my life-not only harnessing unconditional love for others, but harnessing powerful properties to heal the healer. I'm infinity grateful to this woman, and to The Crystal Bible, as I continue my journey into learning how to continue to heal myself, while also helping to heal others in this world that so desperately need it through crystals, gemstones, Reiki and other holistic approaches.

This is my first purchase of the three-part series by Judy Hall. Volume 1 covers over 200 crystals! I can already tell you I'll be purchasing volumes 2 and 3 (each of which cover 200+ MORE crystals/stones, not included in volume 1) I love how each crystal description includes photos to further help in identification. I also appreciate that rarity and sources were included. Information about the spiritual and physical impacts of crystals on the body is in there as well! This book is loaded with a lot of great information and is the perfect quick reference. It's also small and fits easily in my hand. I highly recommend it for beginners.

An extremely helpful book. My only complaint is that not every stone has chakra classification and I really think that would be a beneficial feature. I had to look up many stones on google because of this. Otherwise a complete guide with an explanation on EVERY stone I have plus chakra classification on many of the stones.

Color coated, detailed and beautifully organized through and through. Even with owning all three crystal bibles, this is still a worthy purchase. Informative with even more information.

I just got the book, and I already love it. I've got The Book of Stones, which is very in-depth, and informative, but the Encyclopedia of Crystals is the perfect counterpart to the book of stones. It's organized by color, which is the best part. It makes it easier to identify those gemstones and crystals you acquired awhile back and can't recall their name. The descriptions are just enough of an overview to not overwhelm you with info that you end up forgetting things. I think it would be a great book for beginners looking into crystals for the first time as well. Glad I picked it up.

I'll just be straightforward... I'm not really a crystals and meditation person. I bought this as a gift for someone who loves new age spirituality but hasn't delved into crystals yet.

This is by far the best book on the subject I've seen, and I did a lot of research to find the best book for her. It's a thick, heavy paperback with glossy reference pages. You can search the index by crystal/mineral (there were close to 100 varieties) or by ailment (depression, anxiety, etc). Each entry had descriptions of the mineral, what colors it comes in, which ailments it helps with, and a meditation script for that particular thing.

If you want to be a professional-level expert on the spirituality of crystals, this is definitely your guide.

This is my favorite book of crystals. This book is very pretty and organize in sections about different emptions and situations that you can mediate and heal with crystals. I love the layout and everything about this book. I take this book everywhere with me to reference back too for me and my family when having questions about crystals. I am still learning about crystals and this book is an easy read and breakdown about healing. I even love the solutions she gives. I want to thank this author as you can tell she took the time to make this book such an easy read but yet informative. I will be ordering more as a gift. This is a must buy and great reference. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

From as far back as I can remember, I have always been drawn to and fascinated by rocks and stones. Over the years, I have acquired a rather large and varied collection common stones and semi-precious stones, in various forms. The connection between stones and healing has been a subject that I have been interested in for quite some time.

“Crystals for Healing The Complete Reference Guide” is a very informative 358 page book. The book is divided into 6 chapters:
Chapter 1 The Basics of Crystal Healing
Chapter 2 Shopping for Crystals
Chapter 3 Preparing to Use Crystals
Chapter 4 Crystal Remedies For Mind, Heart and Soul
Chapter 5 Crystal Remedies For Overlapping Areas
Chapter 6 Crystal Profiles

While I found the entire book to be interesting, my favorite Chapter is the last one which deals with the stones themselves, including photos and names of the various stones, as well as physical characteristics and their primary healing uses. I received this book at no cost in exchange for this review. All statements made in this review in regard to this product, represent my own genuine and honest opinions.

This book is stunning from front to back. Which makes it the prefect edition for displaying on any coffee table. It is packed with wonderful Crystal images and useful information on what Crystal is prefect for mind, body and soul. I totally love this book, it is easy to navigate through. You can read from beginning to end or scroll through to look for spacific Crystals. Each Crystal as a detailed description of what it’s property are and how to use, even down to what life path number the Crystal is linked to, the star signs, it chakra and even how to cleanse. The beginning of the book helps you understand how to work out your life path number. The best way to cleanse your Crystals. How to use Crystals and meditate and so so much more. This book is a prefect book for any Crystal lover and those who are just beginning their Crystal journey, It’s 5 stars from me ✨ ✨✨✨✨

Love this book and highly recommend! The book is organised by your need or intention instead of going by the crystals. Makes it easier to find what will work best for your need. Also tells you how to use the crystals and different aspects of the crystals. Crystal Apothecary is so easy to read and great for crystal lovers of all levels. Its a beautiful book that every crystal lover should have.

I'm not into crystals and stones for the purpose of spirituality and/or healing at all, but I was born part crow and like shiny things so I end up buying stones all the time just for decoration. I'm also gifted them constantly. Unfortunately, I lack the willpower to memorize every name for these things. My friend who is a witch, has this as a coffee table book and I love flipping through it. I ended up purchasing it for myself because it's very helpful in identifying them. It's organized by color, so, for example, if you have an unknown blue stone, you just flip to the blue section and you can figure out what it is.

For the person who is into this sort of thing:
The book tells you the stone's type, color, availability, physical benefits, emotional healing, and chakra. It also tells you what candle to use, fragrance to use, practical uses, workplace, magical significance, divinatory meaning, zodiac, and empowerment. So, that's helpful.

A fantastic resource, with information about each crystal's physical and reported metaphysical properties. Each description has a statement or suggestion for an affirmation to use while meditating. Fantastic index by crystals, and listing by purported health benefits. The organization by color is fun, and handy for identifying crystals, although not so much if you just want to find a particular stone right away. (Ex: all the flourite types are scattered by color.) My biggest issue is that the print is so small, I had to use a magnifier or my husband's "cheaters" to read it. Also, some detail sections are white print in a beige box, which is nearly impossible to read. That's the main reason I did not feel I could give it a 5 star review.

Well-made, great info & imagery as well as indexes and providing multiple healing purposes for each gemstone/mineral. Also arranged in groupings by color. Together with Judy Hall's Encyclopedia of Crystals, it's all the reference one could ever need!!

Where do I even start? This book makes me SO happy. It is quite literally the most beautiful and easy-to-use crystal book I've ever read (and I've read a ton, I'm a longtime crystal collector and general metaphysical junkie!).

First of all, the design is totally gorgeous and modern, unlike almost every other crystal book I've seen.

I am so in love with the way that the individual crystal pages are laid out. Super cute and clear. Each crystal page lists:
- the main "traits" of each crystal (for instance, under Agate: Protection + Courage + Strength + Grounding)
- color variations
- largest modern sources
- Chakras each crystal resonates to (love this!)
- Special care recommendations (for instance, whether sunlight fades the crystal)
- whether water exposure is safe for the crystal -- THIS IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL INFORMATION WHICH IS NOT EASILY FOUND!!
- several paragraphs focusing on the crystal's metaphysical qualities
- and finally, a "Notes" section with practical information such as what form the crystal is found in, historical info, alternate names, etc.

Additionally, each of the 50 featured crystals gets its own gorgeous, full-page photograph. This alone sets the book apart -- I've never seen a crystal book use this format of having full-page, high-fashion-esque photography. The aesthetic is very clean and modern, think Kinfolk, Goop, ... okay okay, maybe (definitely!) there's more of the color pink used than Kinfolk magazine would have, but it's still on the same wavelength (and who doesn't love pink?).

If you're not familiar with her, the author is @goldirocks.co on instagram, which is where I first learned of her. I'm a huge fan (obviously)! I love the way she shares inspirational info about crystals and crystal healing.

The front part of the book is a great basic intro to crystals and crystal healing, including a fantastic section with specific recommendations of crystals for each room of the house, crystals for various activities (like work, travelling etc), and crystal gifts appropriate for different occasions. Again, have never seen this info anywhere else and I LOVE IT! Also really love the section on crystal chakra healing...

So yeah, I'm totally in love with this book, if you haven't figured that out by now. Oh, and the price is amazing for a book of this quality, it's hardback with thick matte pages and gold foil on the cover. What's not to love?!

If you are into crystals or even crystal curious this gorgeous book should be part of your collection!

This book is divided into two parts. The first part provides a brief introduction to the history and thought behind how crystals work, ways and rituals to incorporate them into your life and home, crystals for specific occasions, as well as cleansing and charging. If you work with the chakras there’s a detailed ritual for the chakras including both the front and back body. I’ve yet to come across another source that has this much information in one location.

The second part includes 50 crystals selected by the author for their availability and lower price point but by no means are these crystals in any way of lesser value than pricier options. Each crystal is given a two page spread so when the book is laid flat there’s a stunning, full-page photograph of the crystal on one side and a highly detailed description of the crystal on the next. The crystal descriptions are easy to read with a heading including the name and uses of the crystal. The description then begins with a brief bulleted snippet that covers color variations, where the crystal is found, chakra correspondence, care (if it fades in sunlight), and water cleansing (whether or not the crystal can get wet). Then the “Magic” section details the properties and use of each crystal, followed by a “Notes” section that includes helpful information such as corresponding zodiac and birth month and other names the crystal is known by.

The book has an attractive modern aesthetic that perfectly complements the beauty of the crystals. I found this book incredibly useful and a beautiful addition to my collection.

This is the best crystal book for beginners that I have found (and I have read most of the books on the subject as crystal energy is something I have worked with for many years). I am a teacher/owner of a yoga and meditation studio and I suggest this book to everyone who wishes to learn how to work with crystal energy, and also give it to all my new private clients as a gift. It flies off the shelf at our studio, we have a hard time keeping it in stock! Everyone loves this beautiful book — the way the information is presented is clear and accessible, and it has just the right amount of information to help someone begin to develop their skills without overwhelm. The author clearly has a deep connection to the metaphysical, and such a lovely way of writing, it’s like a friend is guiding you through. Plus, the photography/design makes this a coffee-table worthy book. I really can’t say enough good things about this fantastic book -- would give it 10 stars if possible! And: the author's second book-- 'Crystallize' -- is just as good, absolutely worth getting if you already have this book, they go together to make a very comprehensive set which covers over 100 crystals in depth.

Judy Hall's set of Crystal Bibles is the best if you are looking for Spiritual Info on Crystals and some great pictures of them.

You will want the whole set though as she does not waste space going over Crystals which have been covered in her other books.

A great follow-up to Judy Hall's first Crystal Bible. If you need a book that includes basic stones (amethyst, citrine, rose quartz, etc), then also get the first one. This one has the more rare stones.
