New to the CVICU and ICU in general and this book has been my saving grace while orienting to CVICU. It is easier to understand certain concepts with certain body systems and it has helped clarified information provided by other Nursing ICU/CVICU materials. Would recommend this book for experienced nurses, and maybe new graduates, who need certain concepts broken down a little better, but not in such a way that make it feel simple. The topics explored in this book are heavy and complex but the information is not the bare minimum.
I love this book. It teaches me way more than my "teacher" in class.

Such a great book. I use it to look up stuff after my shifts all the time. Also read both sections on Neuro before starting as a new nurse in a Neuro ICU. Definitely gave me a great base of knowledge to pull from. My preceptors were impressed when they would quiz me on Neuro topics. I also like how straight to the point it is. Definitely better than reading my med surg book.
I started reading this as a back-up for another CCRN review book. I like the mini-case studies in each chapter. Very helpful. It is also serving as a great reference book for other diseases not listed on the exam test blueprint.
